Yo! People it's ON!
This morning we all assembled at the Chief's Camp, Kariobangi South and got ready to work!
Take a look in our resources arriving....
We started off with an energizer and then divided up the tasks to everybody and some of the roles as well.
General cleaning of the area was necessary so we got down to cut some grass, pick up the trash and put up a broken fence. Within hours, the place was looking different!
Then we started off to make some of the sitting benches from the materials collected within the community. We have no youth who have been trained formally in vocational skills like carpentry, masonry or something like that, but they DID construct a table that is super fly!
We also received the visit from our friends from the Brazilian Embassy, Juliana and Vivien that also joined us during our end of the day celebrations....

Basically the idea is to create an open space just behind the Chief's Office and have a like a miniature park. We left space for the library which they will construct at their pace.
Friends, they say a picture is worth 1,000 words, so let these pics speak out on our behalf.
