Day 2 - Affection, Dream and Care

Affection Stage

Today was a very energetic morning and the young people from KASWESHA were very eager to start their program. We sent them off to look for talents and stories behind the beauties that surround Kariobangi South. After about 2 hours, they were back and BOOYAH! They had the talents, stories and even surprisingly, the DREAMS!

These young people certainly know how much little time we have so they used it wisely. Joao helped them by showing them how to create mind-maps in order to document the data recorded and in groups of 5, they set off to complete the task! Within minutes, they were presenting their work! This community is indeed filled with talents! There are cooks, tailors, hair-dressers, masons, builders, teachers, recyclers, artists, local artisans, and clergymen.

Dream Stage
regálame un sueño
regálame el viento que te regalo algo mejor

Kariobangi South has many dreams and Kaswesha youth did their best to get their families, friends, neighbours and their community in general to talk about their dreams. Dreams about a cleaner environment, a school, a community social hall, a library, a playground for the children, a beauty shop and even a bridge! Oh, dear readers, we are finally achieving our dream!

The Care Stage
So it us again! Joao and Jane live from Kariobangi South! Its getting hot and even hotter! Now the young people have invited the community over for some discussions and making decisions regarding their dreams! Turn up they did and talk they did as well!.Ladies and gentlemen, we have many dreams but they need to decide on which ones they can achieve best and communial. It is no easy  task but do keep on reading and find out which one is the ONE dream they want to start with!...Keep it here and see you soon!
